Throwback week, and the only childhood photos you have are blurry scans your parents sent. Or the bit needs a version of you that looks like the intern. Younger Me takes any selfie or frame grab and winds it back by the number of years you pick, in the same photo, wearing the same thing, in the same light. Skin gets smoother, the face gets a little rounder, hair gets fuller and darker if it needs to, and the expression stays yours. It is the missing half of the then-and-now format when the then does not exist, and a clean way to build the young-you character for a skit.

One control: years younger, from 5 through 10, 15, 20 and 30. Small values are a soft rewind that reads as well-rested rather than different. Twenty and thirty move you into a different life stage, and the tool adjusts proportions rather than just smoothing, so a 30-year jump on an adult can land you in your teens. It holds on to identity markers: eye shape, nose, smile, skin tone, glasses if you wear them, and anything else that makes the face recognizably you. Framing, clothes and background are left alone, which is what makes the side-by-side work. Use a front-lit, front-facing photo for the biggest jumps.

Try two or three values at Standard for 4 credits each and pick the one that reads as you-but-younger instead of a stranger. Pro is for the final if it is going on the grid or into print. Pair it with Older Me for a full three-panel then-now-later, then lay them out in Carousel Slide or animate the reveal with Photo to Video. For a skit, run the young version through Outfit Change to put you in a school uniform or a first-job polo. Your 4 free signup credits cover the first pass, so run the biggest jump first and see where it takes you.

Questions

How far back can it go before it stops looking like me?

Most faces hold up through 20 years. At 30 the proportions change enough that the result reads as a younger relative on some people, so compare it against 20 and keep whichever still looks like you.

Will it change my clothes or the background?

No. Outfit, setting, lighting and crop are preserved so the before and after line up exactly. If you want period-correct clothes for a skit, send the result to Outfit Change.

What happens if I upload a photo with two people in it?

The tool works on the most prominent face and leaves the other person as they are. For a couple's throwback, crop to each person, run them separately, and rebuild the pair with Couple Photos or Edit With Words.

Can I animate the younger version?

Yes. Send the result to Photo to Video for a short clip of young-you blinking and turning, which makes a stronger reveal than a static cut. Or use Face Swap to put the younger face onto a clip you already filmed.

Can I try Younger Me without paying?

Yes — every new account starts with 4 free credits, enough for a Standard run of most tools. Plans start at $15 for 1,000 credits a month and packs at $4.99 for 250.
